Fred R. Conrad. This image was digitally manipulated to emphasize the light coming from the floodlights placed at Ground Zero. It was featured on the cover of the September 23rd issue of the New York Times Sunday Magazine, called Remains Of The Day. Taken on 4×5 film and shot from Jersey City, New Jersey.
Fred R. Conrad (b. 1950, USA) graduated from the University of Michigan in 1973. As a staff photographer for the New York Times he does a lot of portraits and often uses large format cameras.
