The International Center of Photography just told us that they would donate a Robert Capa print to the auction.
A week from the event on May 15th at Christie’s we couldn’t ask for better news. Besides being the photographer he was, he Capa was a freelancer and he died after stepping on a landmine in Indochina. Could his print’s inclusion be more appropriate?
They will be donating a print of his iconic D-Day landing image – possibly the most famous war photograph ever?
Huge thanks to ICP. They have been so helpful to us.
